WordPress UK Services
This domain was initially going to be a service website, but this was replaced by a new domain, WordPress UK. As the project developed, and we realised that this will hold little benefit, we decided to create a new web domain where we can focus on services, specifically WordPress UK related services. This field is a very competitive area, and with so many different designers, coders and IT geeks competing it becomes more of a challenge to get your website (services) to actually feature in the SERP. The result of course is that the webmasters with SEO skills get higher ranking than users which can actually do the work. The WordPress UK project will be different, in that we will not focus on promoting the site (services) in the normal manner.
This portal will act as a project guide and showcase. This will feature all of the different projects, the sub sections, functionalities and theme hacks we have completed, or we are busy with. These example sites will link up with the WordPress UK service provision site.
Services for WordPress UK Mods
What would users be looking for? WordPress is an all in one complete package that can fulfill most needs. The issue of course is with the complex structure of WordPress that editing and modifying themes and functions can have a negative side effect on your site if you don’t have the technical abilities. We understand this, as we have done this so many times. We are constantly busy hacking the existing plugins, themes and functions to create little changes to make these function for what we want.
Under this banner, with the ability to edit and modify all aspects of WordPress, we will promote our service provision. The SEO aspect of WordPress, as with any other website, is what we are constantly researching and improving. This blog style site update project will highlight various experiments, with the results on some of the projects. We are not actively moving a single domain forward, and merely use the ”portfolio sites” as live SEO projects. With this approach we will at some stage ”drive” a site into a decent SERP position, with the process and steps taken detailed for any user to follow. These steps are NON TECHNICAL and allows for anyone with a website to follow the process.
WordPress UK Service Areas
What areas will we be covering? Anything in WordPress from the database management, the themes, the plugins, widgets and any edit or modding in all of the areas. Our PLUGIN section will feature some of the plugin mods we have already done. The theme hacks and edits we will break down into small steps and highlight on a new domain we are currently planning. These section will all work together and allow for users to make the changes themselves, or get access to a specialist coder that can effect the necessary changes.
Developing your WordPress UK website
If you already have a wordpress website you might be interested in developing your domain. These project pages illustrate how we have managed to start with an empty domain, develop something, change it and keep the process going to attain that illusive ranking for various keywords. The WordPress UK project will become a summary of all the projects we refer to on the WFL domain. WordPress UK for a change, will not have anything to do with hosting.

The WordPress UK domain is next on my list of jobs to complete. I am publishing this update on 21 September 2011. If you get there before me I apologize for the state of incompletion. It is now November 2011, and the first stage of the WordPress UK domain has been completed. Although it has some content, the project is due for a major upgrade and overhaul in arly 2012. WordPress UK domain will also now have some additional WordPress keyword sites attched to it.
