Web Templates is big business. It is a complete seperate market sector online. It comes in different flavours and different packages for various scripts and website formats.  A web template is like a ‘’second skin” for the lack of a better description. Wordpress when installed offer thousands of free templates which you can easily modify. This website has been built with a free web template from Wordpress. And of course there are premium templates. These are available in various price ranges, and the differences in design is just unbelievable. I have included a banner to propably the biggest and best supported template website in the world.

So there are plenty templates, both free and premium available for Wordpress. Great. But what does that mean? When you decide on a layout for your website, based on a template, Wordpress allows a quick install function for that specific template allowing you to change the look and ”feel” of your website completely. In seconds. Of course there are also more advanced features, like flash headers, fancy menu features and sliding headers etc. Most of these can be found as free templates on the Wordpress website. And of course, every single bit of the installed template can be modified with a little bit of trickery, which is included in the web based control panel.

Internet is flooded with unemployed web designers

Fact. A quick browse on the internet and you can quickly and effortlesly set up a whole web design team, across all specialities and design skills. Graphic designers specifically seem to be everywhere.  These web designers have to use the skills they have to try and make some money, so the web template sites are flooded with quality web templates designed in so many different formats it is unbelievable. And as market factors dictate price, you can easily buy a web template for as little as $55. That is around £35. That is of course if you can’t find a free web template that you like using. That said, it is not finding a web template that addresses all your needs. We constantly explain that images, background colours or images, and text colour, font and spacing can easily be modified. The template you are viewing for selection, should address the site layout in the first instance.
